Transfer Station Reporting Changes:  IDEM recently published some proposed changes to the transfer station reporting rules (329 IAC 11-13.5-17) in the Indiana Register.  The basic purpose of the rule change is to remove the annual reporting requirement for unacceptable wastes, and clarifies the recordkeeping requirements that go along with the waste monitoring at transfer stations.  I would anticipate an increased focus on these records during upcoming inspections.  Another important note for this rulemaking is that IDEM is fast-tracking this rule, so there will only be a single opportunity to provide any feedback or comments.  All comments are due by Oct. 11, 2019.  The published notice is available here.
